Ensign Pension Scheme Secretary position

Ensign is the only dedicated master trust (DC pension scheme) for maritime employers. It is governed by a Trustee Board who delegates the day-to-day running of the master trust to its Executive Team.

We are looking for someone to act as Secretary to the Ensign Trustee and its Executive Team. The Trustee relies on its Executive Team and Secretary to ensure the smooth running of Ensign and Trustee Board meetings; as Secretary to the Ensign Trustee, you will initially be responsible for preparing agendas for meetings, organising the preparation of meeting papers, reviewing papers and generally be on-hand to make sure Ensign runs smoothly.

Our working environment is very collegiate, so you must be an outstanding team player and must possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with good written English. Over time, we hope that you will gain knowledge and experience of the pensions industry and the role of a scheme secretary and have aspirations to take on greater responsibilities.

You may have recent experience in a similar governance role. Alternatively, you may be a recent graduate with limited experience. Whilst experience is valued, we are seeking someone with the right skills and a desire to learn. The company will support the right candidate through training and development.
